Jersey is the ideal destination for a short break or longer stay, and the Sylvania Guest House is the ideal base for your holiday in the island.

Jersey is the most southerly and largest of the Channel Islands. Measuring nine miles by five, the island is small enough to be friendly and easy to get around, but large enough to offer lots to see and do for the visitor. English is spoken everywhere, but the island has a French charm, and together with the pleasant climate, beautiful beaches and countryside and tax-free shopping, it is no surprise that visitors to Jersey come back year after year.
St. Helier is the capital and the main town for shopping, eating out, etc. There are numerous smaller towns around the island, such as the pretty fishing village of St. Aubin in the west (within easy walking distance of our guest house) and the harbour village of Gorey in the east (featuring the famous Mont Orgueil Castle), as well as friendly settlements at the heart of each of the island's twelve parishes.

Getting around the island is easy, whether on foot, by bike, car or bus, and the Sylvania Guest House is well positioned on a main bus route. From just outside the guest house it is possible to travel east and be in the heart of St. Helier with ten minutes, or to 'go west' to beautiful St. Brelade's Bay, the famous Jersey Pearl boutique, or the Jersey Airport, as well as many other beaches and attractions.
Our guest house is also situated directly on the island's beachfront walking and cycle track which follows the seashore from St. Aubin to St. Helier, including the newly developed Waterfront shopping, eating and leisure centre, and the pretty Jardins de la Mer. The 'Petit Train' - a jolly little tourist 'train' that runs between St. Aubin and St. Helier also passes just outside the guest house.
